Help us build bunk beds with Sleep in Heavenly Peace!
There is a significant need for beds that children can use here in San Antonio. Because even in our city, many kids don't have a bed to call their own. The beds built during this volunteer session will be given to children who currently sleep on the floor.
Will you help us provide a comfortable place for these children to rest at night? We need at least 50 volunteers but we know our community can exceed that amount!
The build will be from 8:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Sleep in Heavenly Peace warehouse, located at 10616 Sentinel Dr. San Antonio, TX 78217.
Important Information:
- If you are unable to be there for the build, you can make a donation to support this organization's mission.
- At the build, please wear loose-fitting clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
- Wear closed-toed shoes.
- All the necessary tools will already be provided.
- Mission Central and Sleep in Heavenly Peace will provide some snacks and drinks for volunteers. However, you are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks, too!
- Kids age 12 and up can work independently if desired. Kids ages 5-12 can work alongside their parents.
