MANGER COLLECTION DRIVE

Be the miracle this Christmas by donating items that will benefit various communities this season.

Each Advent Sunday, a new collection of items can be placed in any of our mangers throughout the week. The three mangers are located in the Atrium, Christian Life Center (CLC), and Sanctuary.

Please contact Janet Weatherston with any questions.

FESTIVAL DE NAVIDAD: A Night in Bethlehem

Join us in the parking lot and fields of AHUMC for this free Christmas festival on December 3.

There will be a nativity petting zoo, children's activity booths, and live nativity performances at 5 and 6 p.m.

Chefs Colin Bryant and Kaitlin Workman of Mission Bell will also be on hand offering dinner for purchase.

HEALING IN THE HOLIDAYS WORKSHOP

Join this free workshop offered by Porter Loring's Bereavement Counselor.

This workshop will help identify internal and external resources that strengthen families’ self-compassion and enhance their resiliency while embracing their grief. Participants will discover how their loved ones can live on, using this special time to continue to heal.

ANGEL TREE

AHUMC has served and supported our brothers and sisters in Piedras Negras, Mexico since 2006. Help us continue the tradition and bless the children of Piedras Negras by adopting an angel from one of our Angel Trees located in the Atrium and the Children's Wing, beginning November 21.

There is a $10-$12 limit for each gift. Unwrapped gifts can be dropped off in the Atrium's front desk area anytime before December 11.

Please contact Gina Beal with any questions.

THURSDAY LUNCH BUNCH: Holiday Delight

There's no better way to start enjoying delicious Christmas meals than Thursday Lunch Bunch's Holiday Delight! Come and join us—all are welcome.

This year's menu includes: Chicken with White Wine Sauce, Rice, Carolina Christmas Wassail, Red Velvet Cake, and more.

Please contact Leah Jayne to make meal dine-in or to-go reservations.

CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS

Each year we adorn the Sanctuary and the Christian Life Center (CLC) with poinsettiea plants in addition to our beautiful Chrismon trees. Plants and flowers in our worship spaces, including our Christmas plants, are not included in the yearly budget, so we rely on your generosity to provide them.

Poinsettias can be given in memory or in honor of a beloved family member or friend. Envelopes for giving will be available at the reception desk, at the entrances of the Sanctuary and the CLC, and in the pews of the Sanctuary.

Learn more about Christmas Poinsettias here, or contact Leah Jayne with any questions.

ALTERNATIVE CHRISTMAS MARKET

Still deciding on Christmas gifts? Well, we have a wonderful way for you to give a thoughtful gift to a loved one and contribute to community and ministry efforts at the same time: the Alternative Christmas Market.

Support one or any number of ministries through your donation and receive honorarium cards you can share with others to let them know a donation has been made in their name.

Cards are available for purchase in the Atrium on Sundays, Nov. 27 – Dec. 18. Please contact Janet Weatherston with any questions.
