Taizé Service

6:30 p.m.  |  First Wednesday of the month

Please join us on the first Wednesday of each month for a meditative prayer service that features singing, scripture, and silence in the Taizé style of worship.

Hallelujah! Christ is Risen!

Our April 3, 2024 Prayer in the Style of Taizé will celebrate the glorious Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! Join us as we sing our Easter prayers and praises in response to God’s mighty acts in Jesus Christ.

Please join us for this ecumenical service offered on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Garden Chapel of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. Holy Communion will be served for those who wish to partake.

Monthly Meditation:

A Prayer by Brother Roger

Jesus our joy, in your presence we find forgiveness, the clear flowing waters. Thirsting for the realities of God, we recognize your presence as the Risen Lord. And just as the almond tree begins to blossom in the light of springtime, you make even the deserts of the soul burst into flower.

Scripture for Meditation

Paul wrote: If you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory.

Colossians 3:1-4
