Sanctuary Choir
Wednesdays, 7-8:30 p.m. | August–June
Choir Room | Nona Schwab, Director
The Sanctuary Choir is an all-volunteer group. Some have been faithful members for decades and others for only a few weeks. The choir is comprised of both trained musicians and enthusiastic amateurs. Music literacy is helpful, but not necessary. No audition is required. Interested singers are invited to come to rehearsals. We do encourage a strong commitment to rehearsal in order that the singer is prepared on Sunday morning and also for the building of community. Singers choose between the 9:30 or 11 worship service. Some singers do sing both services.
Chancel Ringers
Mondays, 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. | September–May
Room S107 | Nona Schwab, Director
Our adult handbell choir rehearses weekly and plays in worship regularly. Music literacy is a requirement for this ensemble.
Senior Adult Choir: Joy Singers

This lively group of senior adults performs four or five times during the season at nursing homes and retirement centers in the San Antonio area. The repertoire includes everything from old gospel songs to contemporary arrangements of standard hymns. There is no audition. A singer can join at any time during the season.

Sunday Sounds is a music experience for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. This ministry teaches children to lead and participate in worship through music. Our main goal is to encourage the children to offer their talent and gifts to God through service. Weekly rehearsals give children the opportunity to sing, move and play while being introduced to various types of music along with worship education while building lasting relationships with their peers, adult teachers, and helpers. Each choir participates in worship several times throughout the year. By participating in worship, our children not only share their gift of music with God and the congregation, but also experience being leaders in worship. Acolytes
September–May
Serve once a month in the Sanctuary Services
The Acolyte Ministry is for children grades 4 & 5. It is a ministry which introduces our children to worship and communicates the importance of their service to the Lord and the church. It is a unique learning experience which can make a difference in the rest of their lives. It is also our goal to encourage children in their service to the church. Acolyte Ministry is a ministry of service, they serve by assisting others.
CLC Worship Band
Tuesdays 6 p.m.
The CLC Worship Team is a volunteer band of musicians and vocalists. Our team members range from enthusiastic amateurs to trained professionals, but we all share a love of music, a desire for community, and a calling to serve. Music literacy and experience are important but not mandatory. Within the team, our goal is to create a safe place for our volunteers to learn and develop as worship leaders. While formal auditions are not our style, we do desire a strong commitment to rehearsal and preparation. Members can expect to participate in a weekly practice on Tuesday evenings and a weekly run-through on Sunday mornings before services. If you are interested in learning more, we would love to get to know you at one of our weekly practice sessions.
