• The May meeting of the Board of Stewards was held in the midst of hope—hope that the pandemic was finally waning, that folks were joining in worship, and that life is getting back to normal, even if it is what I call a “new” normal after the past year’s experiences.


  • Over the past few months, Asbury has experienced several break-ins to our main sanctuary.  A major part of our improvements was to secure the side windows to deter would-be burglars from entering.


  • The intense winter weather in February brought about challenges to all of us in some way. AHUMC was fortunate to not have any flooding due to burst pipes like many of our brothers and sisters in the community and all across the state experienced. However, we did see significant damage to the gardens from the deep freeze, much like what you've likely seen in your yards and on your drives around the city and beyond.
