Knights of North Castle: Quest for the King’s Armor invites children to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of God’s power! Kids will take on the role of brave Knights and begin their quest each session by opening the King’s Book. They’ll explore Old and New Testament stories and discover different pieces of protective armor—the Belt of Truth, the Breastplate of Justice, the Shoes of Peace, the Shield of Faith, and the Helmet of Salvation—at work in the lives of familiar Bible characters, and explore how that armor works in their own lives as they follow and serve God. Help kids take up the gauntlet and accept the challenge to “armor up” and be strong by remaining with God!
As with everything else, our VBS will look a little different this year. Although we can't be together in person, we can still have some fun! This year's VBS will be a 4 day BACKYARD VBS! Families can pick up a bag of supplies from the church & then host their own VBS in their own backyard! You can invite your friends & neighbors to join you (depending on what social distancing looks like at that point). We'll start each day with online morning worship @ 9:00 am and then send you out to enjoy all the activities.
Do I still need to register?
Yes! We need your registration information in order to prepare your Backyard VBS Kit and to be able to send you the video links to access morning worship. Supplies will be limited, so register early!
When will registration open?
Online registration will open on June 1. Registration link will be available on this page
What will be in my Backyard VBS Kit?
*most supplies needed will be in your kit. We'll send you a list of other supplies needed that are either common household items or things easily picked up at a local store (ex: sidewalk chalk, washable markers, crayons).
- Instructions & supplies* for each day: Bible story, Craft, Science experiment, Games, Snack ideas & more!
- Mission project info
- When you register, you'll have the option to order a Tshirt. If ordered, we'll include your Tshirts with your VBS kit.
I’m sure you wish that this summer’s VBS were an in-person event, just as we do. We are truly going to miss seeing all of the children singing, laughing, learning, and growing together this summer at VBS. Still, we hope we can offer your children the very best alternative with this At-Home program.
Because we know you’ve already been busily adapting to the current reality of sheltering at home, we want to make this as easy as possible. We have kept that in mind as we put together the activities (and their instructions) to help make this as simple and FUN as possible.
Please know that we are praying that you will “Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power!” as we walk together through this discipleship journey.
Thank you for joining us in ministry through this year's VBS!
