The Walk to Emmaus is a three day retreat designed to build up leaders within the church. During the retreat the participants (aka pilgrims) will experience the love of Jesus Christ in new and better ways, and the pilgrims will be invited to lean into life as a beloved daughter or son of our Risen Lord. The retreat provides time for spiritual reflection and renewal, and pilgrims will return to their churches better equipped to go out into the world to be the hands and feet of Christ.
Pilgrim applications are now being accepted for both the men's Emmaus Walk sponsored by our Care Bexar Community. Pilgrim Applications are available for download from the link below or on The City and in the brochure racks in the East and West Wing hallways. The men's walk is April 19th- April 22nd at Mt. Wesley in Kerrville. Blake Taylor (from Riverside Community Church) is the Lay Director and the Spiritual Director is Scott Heare (also from Riverside).
Please keep the teams and future pilgrims in your prayers. Valerie Slade (email@example.com) will gladly help you with any questions you may have about attending the walk as a pilgrim or questions you may have about supporting the walk through prayer, pilgrim sponsorship or acts of agape.
