Centennial Cookbook Pre-Publication Sale Ends Soon
Order now and take advantage of the current pre-order price of $20, which is available through August 31, 2010. The price goes up to $25 on September 1, 2010. The title of our cookbook, submitted by Ginger Brewer and Elizabeth Wirth, is The Heights of Taste. Order your copy today in the lobby or outside Garden Chapel.
 
Youth Fall Retreat 6th-12th grade youth are encouraged to attend Launch 2010 September 24-26 at T Bar M in New Braunfels. The cost is $95 per student. Don't miss the opportunity to build community and catch the vision of Student Ministry for the school-year. Register .
 
Mothers of Preschoolers Mothers of Preschooler (MOPS) will begin Wednesday, Sept. 1, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in W100. Register at the first meeting. Childcare is available. Contact Carol Sobey at 375-3840 for information.

Lunch Bunch Time We'll begin a new year of Thursday Lunch Bunch soon! Volunteers are needed to cook, serve or run the dishwasher! Help one Thursday a month or more. Come for our Fall "get ready" meeting on Thursday, September 2nd, at 11 a.m., in the CLC.

The Pantry Is Bare The pantry in our Hope Center is bare! We're accepting canned food and monetary donations (mark checks "Hope Center"). Food may be brought to the Hope Center. Thank you for your generosity.

Israel 2.0 Join Reed McNitzky as he shares stories about his recent trip to Israel in an 8-week class on Sundays beginning September 12th, at 5 p.m. in W100. Reed will show pictures and discuss historical features of Israel and his father, Pastor David McNitzky, will share faith implications. The class will be repeated on Tuesdays (when David McNitzky will lead the class) at 10 a.m. in the Parlor.

Donations Needed for Chic Boutique For Less Time to donate for a good cause! We will be having our first ever Chic Boutique For Less on September 25th at Riverside's Loft Coffee Shop, benefitting the 2011 Riverside Community Church/AHUMC Women's Retreat. Please start cleaning out your closets - all seasons, all women's wear, accessories and shoes - and bring your items to Pastor Dinah Shelly's office by Sept. 15th. Be on the lookout for sale info!

Women After God - Women's Study/Small Groups Starting in September
A new study for all women who are seeking the Lord and desire to grow in a more meaningful relationship with Him are invited to join this Wednesday morning study group beginning September 8, 9-10:30 a.m. If you would like to facilitate a small group, contact Cari Spielhagen at caricatowens@hotmail.com.
 
Fishing Under the Bridge Sunday, August 29th This outreach ministry gives us a chance to serve our brothers and sisters at Haven for Hope. Volunteers assist with preparing, serving meals, greeting residents and all aspects of kitchen clean-up on the 4th Sunday of each month. Call Kathie Love at 820-3506 for information.
 
BAMC Dinner Warrior Family Support Center Donate $ or a dessert, Cook, Deliver and/or Serve when we provide dinner for wounded soldiers at BAMC. Cooking is September 8th, Dinner is September 9th. For more information contact Janie Keator at 824-1261.
