The Walk to Emmaus is a three day retreat designed to build up leaders within the church. During the retreat the participants (aka pilgrims) will experience the love of Jesus Christ in new and better ways, and the pilgrims will be invited to lean into life as a beloved daughter or son of our Risen Lord. The retreat provides time for spiritual reflection and renewal, and pilgrims will return to their churches better equipped to go out into the world to be the hands and feet of Christ.
The Emmaus Women's Walk will take place at Mt. Wesley in Kerrville on September 28-Oct 1st of this year. Valerie Slade is the Lay Director for this walk and our beloved Dinah Shelly is the Spiritual Director. Many of our AHUMC Clergy and Members are also helping with the retreat. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THIS WALK.
Pilgrim applications and registration details can be downloaded from the link below, or hard copies can be found at the bulletin boards in the East and West wings of the church. Valerie will be happy to answer any questions you might have about the walk: firstname.lastname@example.org.
